Unimot Group, a multi-energy company managing the AVIA network in Poland, became the first company on the Polish market to introduce innovative HVO fuel for sale at its fuel stations. Since May 7, 2024, customers have been able to refuel this environmentally friendly fuel at the AVIA station located at Myszęcin 8e, 66-225 Myszęcin, Poland.

HVO fuel (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) allows for up to 90% CO2 reduction compared to traditional B0 diesel. It is a type of synthetic, renewable alternative fuel intended for diesel engines and is obtained in modern refining processes – through hydrocracking or hydrogenation of vegetable oil or animal fats using hydrogen and catalysts under high temperature and pressure conditions.

The use of HVO fuel enables customers from the transport sector to effectively reduce the carbon footprint of their activities, while being a practical and readily available solution in today’s market realities.

As part of Unimot Group’s strategy for 2024-2028, the company focuses on diversifying its offer, with an emphasis on increasing the share of green products and services. The introduction of innovative HVO fuel to its multi-energy portfolio is one of the actions that aligned with the implementation of solutions supporting the energy transformation of Unimot Group and its stakeholders.
