Piotr Cieślak

A graduate of the Poznań University of Economics, specialisation: Investment and Real Estate Management. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of stock market, macroeconomic and company valuation. For over a dozen years, he has also specialised in the area of corporate disputes, as well as capital market law and commercial companies law. He has conducted numerous training courses and lectures on finance, economics and capital markets law. He is the author of hundreds of commentaries, statements, articles and publications for most of the leading financial and economic media.

Since 2004, he has been associated with the Association of Individual Investors. For a period of 12 years, i.e. from 2008 until the end of 2019, he held the position of Vice President of the Management Board of the Association of Individual Investors with responsibility for the Investor Rights Protection Department. He is currently Managing Director and Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Association of Individual Investors and is responsible, among other things, for the development of the Analytical Department of the SII and the implementation of the Association’s strategic objectives. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Corporate Governance Consultative Committee appointed by the WSE. Since 2011, he has also been active in advisory and consulting activities. He has held positions in the supervision of public and non-public companies. Since 2012, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board and currently also Chairman of the Audit Committee at Unimot S.A..

Mr Piotr Cieślak complies with the criterion of independence of a member of the Supervisory Board specified in Best Practices of WSE listed companies. Based on the submitted statement Mr Piotr Cieślak is independent from Unimot S.A. in the meaning of Art. 129 clause 3 of the Law of 11th May 2017 on statutory auditors, audit firms and public supervision.
