New stores in 4 voivodships
The number of SPAR Express stores at AVIA petrol stations has increased to 30. Recently, branches have been opened in Grzegorzewo (Wielkopolska Province), Puławy (Lublin Voivodeship), Siedlce and Małkinia Górna (Masovian Voivodeship) and Łozin near Wrocław (in Lower Silesia). All shops offer hot dishes, sandwiches, casseroles in the Eat&Go area and coffee in the Bean Tree Cafe zone. They are open around the clock, 7 days a week. Further openings are planned throughout Poland.
SPAR Express is a convenience format that meets the basic needs of customers. Strefy relaxation in the shops are a convenient place to eat, drink and rest. The facilities are open 365 days a year.
“The pace of opening our SPAR Express outlets at AVIA stations is express this year. We already have 30 stores and we are planning further openings. We can see that there is a demand for just such a format at petrol stations. Consumers refueling a car do not want an ordinary store, but a wide assortment offer, warm drinks and tasty dishes. Increasingly, they also expect proposals for extensive diets – for example, vegan or gluten-free. Stores in the SPAR chain perfectly respond to this demand – we have a whole line of precisely designed gluten-free and sugar-free products of the SPAR own brand, as well as ready-to-go dishes and juices under the Fresh to go brand – emphasizes Wayne Hodson, President of the Management Board of the SPAR chain in Poland.
“Our pilot cooperation project started in December last year, and we can already boast of 30 AVIA stations operating in the SPAR store format, which means that it is already over 90 percent of our own stations. We can see that customers appreciate this cooperation, which translates into successive sales increases in the non-fuel category at AVIA stations” – says Robert Nowek, Director ofthe Management of the AVIA network in Poland and Ukraine, Unimot Group.
