Adam Sikorski, CEO of UNIMO, was a speaker at the Polish Business Hub during the World Economic Forum in Davos

Adam Sikorski, President of the Management Board of UNIMOT, participated as a speaker in the panel discussion titled "Energy security as an enabler of growth" at the Polish Business Hub 2025, organized during the World Economic Forum in Davos. The discussion brought together energy industry leaders who addressed key aspects of the future of the energy sector in Europe.

Polish Business Hub 2025 served as a platform for discussions on the critical role of business in shaping global economic and social progress. As part of this event, a panel titled "Energy security as an enabler of growth" was held, focusing on how energy security can become the foundation for Poland’s dynamic economic transformation.

The speakers included:

  • Adam Sikorski – President of the Management Board of UNIMOT,

  • Witold Literacki – Vice President of the Management Board for Corporate Affairs and First Deputy CEO of ORLEN,

  • Raphaël Schoentgen – CEO of Hydrogen Advisors and former Technical Director of ENGIE,

  • Marcin Kraśniewski – Assistant Professor at the Department of Energy Transition at the University of Economics in Katowice,

  • Mike Hayes – Partner and Leader of Climate Change and Decarbonization at KPMG Impact, as well as Global Leader for Renewable Energy.

The experts discussed topics such as strategies for diversifying energy sources, building regional and global partnerships, and addressing legislative challenges, particularly those related to the European Green Deal.

The President of UNIMOT highlighted the dynamic development of the gas sector in both Poland and Ukraine. “In Poland, we see a growing potential in the gas sector, and this market is also expanding in Ukraine. At UNIMOT, we are confident that gas will remain a key element of our energy mix for much longer than initially anticipated,” emphasized Adam Sikorski.

During the discussion, special attention was given to Poland's unique position within the European Union and its potential to become a leader in economic development driven by energy solutions. Furthermore, the participants agreed that the future of the energy sector depends on collaborative efforts that will ensure energy security in the region.
