Michał Parkitny, until now responsible for financing partnerships in London Standard Bank, has become a new member of the Management Board of UNIMOT.
Changes took place in the Management Board of UNIMOT S.A. on 20 June 2017. Małgorzata Garncarek, the Member of the Board and the Financial Director of the Company tendered her resignation from the position. Tendering her resignation Małgorzata Garncarek indicated that her decision was taken for personal reasons. Then the Supervisory Board of UNIMOT appointed Michał Parkitny to the position of the new Member of the Board for Financial Affairs of the Company.
– I am very grateful to Mrs Małgorzata Garncarek for her contribution so far to the development of the Company and the whole Group – comments Mr Adam Sikorski, the President of the Supervisory Board of UNIMOT S.A. – She will still play a very important role in the structures of the UNIMOT Group, acting as the Financial Director. The presence of Mr Michał Parkitny in the structures of UNIMOT S.A. is an important step towards the national and international expansion of the Company – emphasizes Mr Adam Sikorski. – Michał Parkitny is a highly regarded expert in the scope of financing partnerships on international markets, with the experience of many years acquired, among others, at Standard Bank in London. As UNIMOT considers the possibility of acquiring other entities and seeks for strategic partners outside the country, the presence of Mr Michał Parkitny in the Management Board will make it easier for UNIMOT to operate on international capital markets and will contribute to carrying out effectively the mentioned goals.
Michał Parkitny was connected since 2010 with the London branch of Standard Bank, where he led the team of partnership financing. For over 6 years he provided advice for the partnerships from the sectors of: oil and gas (upstream and downstream), telecommunication, mining and consumer finance. Earlier he worked for the investment bank JP Morgan in London, where he headed the team of debt instruments in Central and Eastern Europe. In Poland he advised, among others, such partnerships as: PGNiG, TPSA, Getin Bank and Koleje Mazowieckie. He also cooperated with the Ministry of Finance at acquiring financing on international markets, and for two years was connected with the Warsaw and London branch of Bloomberg, where he was responsible for the analysis of debt securities. Mr Michał Parkitny is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and the scholarship holder of the „International Business” programme, organized by the University of Copenhagen.
