On 5 June 2017 the first petrol station under the AVIA brand was opened in Poland. This is the beginning of implementing the agreement between UNIMOT S.A. and AVIA International, according to which UNIMOT will build in Poland a network of AVIA petrol stations.
The first petrol station under the AVIA brand started sales of fuels in Łomża (Podlaskie Voivodeship). The UNIMOT Capital Group, which has been entitled the right to use the AVIA brand has planned to open about 100 stations until 2020. This is the next step, after launching the Tankuj24 application (application is used to buy fuel on-line) of the Polish company towards the retail sale of fuels. The station which was opened in Łomża is the first carried out investment into franchise stations. UNIMOT is going to bring together independent owners of fuel stations under the common brand AVIA.
„This is a very important moment to us in two aspects: we are opening a traditional channel of retail sale of fuels, showing our investors that we manage their capital in a good way and carry out goals, which we declared while entering the Warsaw Stock Exchange. I have to admit that it is an emotional moment for the whole company – says Mr Robert Brzozowski, the President of the Board of UNIMOT S.A. „Since the moment we signed the agreement with AVIA International at the end of the previous year, we have been working hard to acquire partners to build the AVIA petrol stations network. At the moment we have 5 signed agreements which are being implemented, we also conduct negotiations in several other locations. We are planning to open about 15 AVIA petrol stations until the end of the present year.”
UNIMOT is going to spend PLN 23 million on the basis of franchise agreements to build the AVIA petrol stations network (the investment will be financed from the resources acquired form investors during the public issuance of J series shares in February of 2017).
