The Unimot Group has launched its activities in the field of physical deliveries of marine fuels in Polish ports

13.03.2024

While continuing the adopted strategy of diversification of the Unimot Group’s activities, Unimot Paliwa has launched its operations on the marine fuel market in Polish ports. The first delivery took place on 11 March 2024 – the Fairplay VII vessel, which is owned by Fairplay Towage Polska Sp. z o.o. Sp.k., was bunkered in the port in Gdynia. The bunkering activities of the Unimot Group will be carried out based on two of the nine fuel terminals that belong to Unimot Terminale, located in Gdańsk and Szczecin.

The Unimot Group has commenced physical deliveries of distillation marine fuel MGO:DMA, carried out by road tankers, in the ports of Gdańsk and Gdynia. In the second half of April this year, the Group plans to expand its operations in the area of supplies of the same bunker fuel to ports in Szczecin, Świnoujście and Police.

We are happy to be able to enter a new, promising market. This is another important step towards the diversification of the Unimot Group’s activities, aimed at increasing its presence on the market and expanding its services. We strive to maximally use the potential offered by fuel terminals and their infrastructure, as well as our know-how based on over 30 years of presence of the Unimot Group on the Polish market – says Robert Brzozowski, Commercial Vice-President of the Management Board, Unimot S.A.

The Unimot Group is also considering a possible expansion of its activities in the delivery of residual type bunker fuels (VLSFO and HSFO) carried out by bunker vessels based on the planned expansion of the terminal infrastructure in Gdańsk.
