Continuing the implementation of the adopted plan to expand its operations in the area of marine fuel supply and fulfilling earlier announcements in this area, the company Unimot Paliwa has started operations in the marine fuel market in the ports of Szczecin, Świnoujście and Police. This was possible thanks to the rapid implementation of an investment in an installation designed for bunker fuels at the Szczecin Unimot Terminale. The first supply made in the said area by the Unimot Group took place on 29 May 2024 – the HERMES unit, owned by Fairplay Towage Poland, was bunkered in the port of Szczecin.
We are very pleased with the successive development of the marine fuel supply business in Polish ports, which is the fulfilment of the goals we set in our latest Business Strategy for 2024-2028. While implementing the strategy, we are taking advantage of our more than 30 years of experience in the fuel market and the terminal infrastructure we have developed in a very short time in Szczecin. Since the beginning, the goal of the Unimot Group has been to make the most of market opportunities, and such opportunities are certainly created by the observed increase in cargo turnover and the number of ships in Polish ports. In March 2024, the Unimot Group began deliveries of distillate marine fuel MGO:DMA, carried out by tanker trucks, in the ports of Gdansk and Gdynia. In the area of the ports of Szczecin, Świnoujście, and Police, deliveries of the same bunker fuel, i.e. MGO:DMA, will be carried out also based on tanker trucks.
