The Unimot Group, the Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed independent fuel and energy group, has published its first ESG Report. The aforesaid Report indicates the list of activities undertaken and their results in three key areas of responsibility: environmental, social and corporate governance. The preparation and publication of the non-financial report is the Group’s fulfilment of one of its obligations under the ESG Strategy.
The presented publication is the first ESG report of the Unimot Group. The Report covers the period between 1st January 2021 and 31st December 2021 and takes the selected activities undertaken in 2022 into consideration. The data contained therein refers to the Group’s impact on the environment, the society and presents an in-depth analysis of the corporate governance. The subsequent reports will be published once a year. The above-mentioned Report was drawn up on the basis of the GRI Standards. The aim of the Group is to add more indicators to the Report in subsequent years.
We are aware of the fact that both business sustainability and corporate social responsibility are becoming more and more important to our stakeholders. Therefore, we have decided to publish ESG reports, although this is not mandatory. Each year we intend to expand its scope in accordance with the best market standards. We believe that we will be able to include the feedback we hope to receive. In March this year we published the ESG Strategy and reporting is a natural consequence of this,” says Adam Sikorski, President of the Management Board of Unimot.
The Report contains the information of key importance to investors, regulators, employees and counterparties and takes into consideration, inter alia: the European Commission’s guidelines on disclosure of non-financial information related to climate impacts, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) recommendations, ESG factors – environmental, social and corporate governance, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) identified as strategic for the Unimot Group.
