UNIMOT Group published its consolidated financial and operational results for the third quarter of 2024. Consolidated EBITDA adjusted (for estimated valuation of obligatory liquid and gaseous fuel inventories, reasonable deferrals of costs and revenues, and one-time event) amounted to PLN 105 million, while total revenues were PLN 3,688 million.
The Group's results for the same period last year were as follows: PLN 29 million in consolidated adjusted EBITDA and PLN 3,310 million in total revenues.
"We are satisfied with the results achieved in the third quarter of 2024. They confirm the effectiveness of our actions, focused on strengthening the position of the UNIMOT Group in key business areas. One of the most important initiatives undertaken recently was securing our LPG gas supply chain through the chartering of a gas carrier dedicated to transporting this raw material, enabling us to respond flexibly to upcoming market changes, particularly the sanctions on LPG gas imports from Russia," says Adam Sikorski, President of the Management Board of Unimot S.A.
The results of the UNIMOT Group in the third quarter of 2024 were particularly positively influenced by the bitumen segment, which achieved an adjusted EBITDA of PLN 53 million during this period. The maximization of sales volumes in this segment was linked to the road construction and repair season. Through active participation in key projects and the expansion of storage infrastructure and transport fleet, the UNIMOT Group effectively responded to the increased demand in this area.
The liquid fuels segment also had a positive impact on the result, achieving an adjusted EBITDA of PLN 31 million in the third quarter of 2024. Higher margins in this area were the result of increased market demand and a decrease in purchase premiums. Additionally, a positive impact was made by the revaluation (by approximately PLN 7 million) of the future mandatory inventory maintenance costs for diesel fuel imports throughout 2024.
Stable financial results were achieved by the infrastructure and logistics segment, which recorded an adjusted EBITDA of PLN 20 million. This segment includes, among others, activities related to fuel storage and rail transport services.
In the third quarter of 2024, the volume of liquid fuel sales amounted to 565 thousand m³ (a 17% increase year-on-year), LPG gas sales reached 67 thousand tons (a 17% decrease year-on-year), while natural gas sales amounted to 334 GWh (a 155% increase year-on-year).
