UNIMOT has recieived updated concession

12.01.2018

The President of the Energy Regulatory Office issued new concession decisions for UNIMOT S.A. in the scope of trade (in this abroad), production and storage of liquid fuels. The Company’s rights to conduct commercial activity on the fuel market have been prolonged and extended.

The decisions of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office of 10th January 2018 have updated the possessed by UNIMOT S.A. concessions for trade, in this abroad, production and storage (in this trans-shipment) of liquid fuels (OPC, OPZ, WPC i MPC).

– The abovementioned decisions successfully close the concession proceedings, to which our Company was obliged due to legislative changes – explains Mr Maciej Ciszewski, Main Specialist for Energy Regulations of UNIMOT S.A. – The amended laws have introduced a number of changes in the area of liquid fuels licensing, first of all defining them properly. Equally important was the fact of defining by the Minister of Energy a detailed list of liquid fuels in case of which production, storage, trans-shipment, shipment, distribution, trade and transport require an entry into the register of importing entities.

The updated concessions grant UNIMOT the rights to trade liquid fuels in the territory of the country, with the use of, among others, fuel depots and fuel stations, and foreign trade. The Company can trade aviation fuels, and within the storage concession it can render trans-shipment services as well as storing liquid fuels. The validity period of all concession has been prolonged until the end of 2030.

Thanks to updated concessions UNIMOT can expand its trade offer in the future, and thus, increase its competitiveness level on the international fuel market.
