21.02.2018

The Management Board of UNIMOT S.A. has published estimated separate financial data for the 4th quarter of 2017. In an annual grasp the Company achieved y/y revenues higher by 15%. However, additional costs connected with investments and implementation of NCW have been translated in lower than in the previous year profitability rates.

According to preliminary separate data in 2017 UNIMOT achieved revenues on sales in the amount of PLN 2.92 billion compared to PLN 2.50 billion in 2016. The achieved net profit amounted PLN 25.40 million and was lower by 21% than in the corresponding period of the previous year. In the 4th quarter revenues on sales amounted PLN 749 million and were lower by 25% than a year ago, and the achieve in this period net profit amounted PLN 0.47 million.

– In the last months of 2017 the situation on the home fuel market was very difficult for us as well as other independent fuel importers due to relatively new law regulations in the scope of NCW implementation and lack of unambiguous interpretation base – says Mr Maciej Szozda, President of the Management Board of UNIMOT S.A.– Our conservative approach to the regulations directly influenced the growth of costs connected with compliance with this obligation, and thus, it has been reflected in a decrease of margins. Moreover, the year 2017, compared to the previous year, was the period of increased investments. UNIMOT not only began to develop dynamically the AVIA franchise network and Tankuj24.pl project, but also adjusted the organization to service the expanded scope of operations, among others, through investments into the personnel and IT. Thanks to an increased sales volume in the main operating segments the Company has maintained its leading position among Polish private fuel distributors.

In 2017 UNIMOT successfully completed the adopted strategic goals, starting until the end of the year the planned number of 15 AVIA franchise stations and increasing up to 100 the number of partner fuel stations that make available Tankuj24 application.

Presently, the Management Board of UNIMOT S.A. is working intensively over the strategy for the years 2018-20. The details of the strategy will be presented in the 2nd quarter of 2018.
